Amazon Memphis is not one place. Amazon does not have “a warehouse in Memphis.” It has several buildings,
on opposite sides of a city that is roughly twenty miles across — and until you know which one
has your name on it, every apartment decision you make is a guess.
The short version: Amazon runs at least three separate
operations in Memphis. MEM4, the fulfilment centre, is at 4055 New Allen Road — a 38128 address in north Memphis. DTN4, a delivery station, is at 3347 Pearson Road in 38118, in the southeast toward the airport. A third site, DNA4, is listed at conflicting addresses depending on the source. Those are opposite corners of a city about twenty miles across. Find out which building you report to before you sign anything.
The question new hires forget to ask
We lease apartments in north Memphis, and a particular conversation repeats itself. Someone
calls, says they have just been hired by Amazon, and asks whether we are close to it.
The honest answer is a question back: close to which one?
Almost nobody has the building address at that point. They have an offer, a start date, and
a start date. The site is somewhere in an starting work email they have not read closely
yet. And that single missing detail is the difference between a fifteen-minute drive and
crossing the entire city twice a day.
So before you shortlist a single apartment, go back to your employer or your starting work
portal and get two things in writing: the street address of your building, and the gate or
entrance you are expected to report to. Large sites can have more than one, and they are not
always reached from the same direction.
What the Amazon Memphis site codes mean for where you rent
Two people can take the same job title in the same city and need apartments on opposite sides of it. That is the whole reason this matters to a housing decision.
The New Allen Road fulfilment centre carries a 38128 address in north Memphis. The Pearson Road delivery station carries a 38118 address in the southeast. A third operation appears in public directories at conflicting addresses. Those are different rental markets with different corridors, different supermarkets and different bus coverage — and a lease is a twelve-month commitment to one of them.
We keep the full breakdown of sites, purposes, addresses and ZIP codes — including which are disputed — on our Amazon page, so there is one place to check rather than three versions to reconcile.
How to use the address once you have it
Confirm the street address with your employer. Everything below is what to do with it as a renter.
- Look at which side of the city it is on, not the estimated journey time. The side determines which rental corridors are even worth opening.
- Drive the route at the hours you would travel it, in both directions. Traffic around large logistics sites concentrates into short windows, so a midday test tells you very little about the commute you would actually have.
- Check whether transit covers your hours, not whether transit exists. A route that stops running before your shift ends is not coverage. If you will not have a car, this decides which addresses are viable.
- Then shortlist apartments. Anything you look at before this point is speculative, and inventory moves while you speculate.
We do not publish drive times. Any figure you see elsewhere cannot know your shift or the road on the day. Drive it yourself.
If your building turns out to be in the north
If your site is the New Allen Road fulfilment centre, you are working in north Memphis and the Raleigh area is a realistic search. What that area is actually like day to day — the supermarkets and their closing times, the civic centre that replaced the old Raleigh Springs Mall, which MATA routes run and between what hours — is set out on our Raleigh apartments page and in our guide to renting in 38128.
If your site is in the southeast, north Memphis is the wrong search area and we say so plainly on the employer page — including the areas you should be looking at instead, none of which we manage.
What to settle before you sign
- Your building and gate, in writing, from your employer.
- Your shift — and whether it is fixed or rotating. If it is not final,
favour somewhere that works for either. - The route, driven in both directions at your real hours.
- Your assignment type — permanent, seasonal or agency. This decides what
lease length actually makes sense, and it is a conversation to have before you apply. - How firm your start date is. starting work moves dates. Before a lease is
signed there is usually flexibility; afterwards there is a lease. - What you can sleep through. If you are on nights, view the apartment
during the hours you would normally be asleep. An apartment that is quiet at six in the evening
tells you nothing about ten in the morning.

What we actually have
We manage Raleigh Pines at 2799 Beverly Hills Rd, Apt 4, Memphis, TN 38128,
in the Raleigh area. The floor plan is a 2 bedroom,
1½ bathroom apartment.
Those details come from our own listing system and were checked on 5 August 2026;
availability and pricing move, so treat the listings page as the live answer rather than this
paragraph.
Pet terms, parking and which utilities sit in the resident’s name vary by apartment, so we
confirm those in writing for the specific unit rather than printing a number here that might
not apply to your lease. Ask us and you will get a straight answer before you apply.
Frequently asked questions
Which Amazon facility in Memphis is closest to Raleigh?
Of the Amazon sites we could verify, MEM4 at 4055 New Allen Road carries a 38128 postcode — the same ZIP code as our Raleigh Pines community at 2799 Beverly Hills Road. That is public record, not a marketing claim, and it says nothing about your drive time, which depends on your gate, your shift and the day. Drive it yourself before you decide.
How many Amazon sites are there in Memphis, and how do they differ?
MEM4 at 4055 New Allen Road is a fulfilment centre in north Memphis (38128). DTN4 at 3347 Pearson Road is a delivery station in southeast Memphis (38118). A third site, DNA4, appears in public listings at conflicting addresses, so treat it as unverified until your employer confirms it. The sites are on opposite sides of the city, so an apartment that suits one may be impractical for another.
Is there anything to do in Raleigh besides work and sleep?
The Raleigh Springs Civic Center on Austin Peay Highway replaced the old Raleigh Springs Mall and opened in November 2020. The City of Memphis put roughly $32 million into it, and it includes a public library, a police precinct, a skatepark, an 11-acre lake and a one-mile walking trail.
Can I sign a lease before my Amazon start date?
Yes, and most people relocating do. An offer letter showing your start date and pay terms commonly stands in for pay stubs when you have not started. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval.
What if my start date moves?
Tell your property manager while the date is still provisional. Before a lease is signed there is usually room to adjust a move-in date; afterwards the lease governs. Start dates move often enough that this is worth raising as early as you can.
If you have your building address and a start date, send both over and we will tell you
plainly whether what we have fits — including if it does not. You can also
book a self-guided tour and walk the apartment on your own
schedule, which is the only honest way to judge a place you will be sleeping in during
daylight.
